Mr. Nesbitt received his B.S. degree in engineering technology from Francis Marion University in 1975. Mr. Nesbitt also has an A.S. degree in drafting from Sumter Area Technical College.

Professional Experience
Mr. Nesbitt joined the engineering firm of Maguire Beebe as a technician in August of 1974. Mr. Nesbitt was promoted to design Engineer and remained in the position until he left the firm in April of 1986. While employed with Maguire Beebe, Mr. Nesbitt worked with municipal and private water and sewer system and developments from preliminary layouts to final design. Since organizing Nesbitt Surveying Co., Inc. in 1986 Mr. Nesbitt has been involved in surveying and design of subdivisions, mobile home park water systems and sewer systems, boundary surveys, layout of golf courses and road design.

Professional Experience

After completing his degree Jon joined the staff as a Civil Engineer in Training and a Land Surveyor in Training, at the firm of DeVita & Associates.  During that time Jon worked as a design engineer designing Sewer, Grading, and Road Alignment and Profile Plans.  Jon also completed boundary, topographical and as-built surveying as needed.  Jon then joined American Engineering and Surveying Co., LLC.  as a partner.  During his time at this company Jon continued performing Engineering and Surveying support and design while also participated in all aspects of the bussiness decision process.  In 2004 Jon became a Project Manager for Norvell & Poe Engineers, LLC where he worked in designing both private subdivision and commercial development.  Designing site plans, grading, road alignment, water and sewer plans.  Worked closely with state and local agencies to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies. Jon joined Nesbitt Surveying Co., Inc. in 2009 as a project manager. Jon manages all activities related to the contuction layout of multiple contruction projects. Jon also manages multiple field crews overseeing boundary, topographic as-built, and ALTA surveys.
